The copper ore concentration production line equipment and
production processes are as follows:
Mined ore first by jaw crusher preliminary crushing, broken to a
reasonable degree of fineness through the hoist, feeding machine
into the ball mill for ore crushing, grinding.
After the ball mill grinding, the ore fines into the next process:
classification. Spiral classifier with the principles that
different proportion of solid particles, different precipitation
speed in the liquid, wash, grade the ore mixture. When pass through
magnetic separator, washed and graded mineral mixture, due to the
different susceptibility of variety of minerals, by the magnetic
force and mechanical force , are separated from the magnetic
material. Separated minerals by magnetic separator are sent into
the flotation machine, adding different drugs depending on the
mineral characteristics, making the expected material separated
from other mineral particles. Minerals to be separated, because
they contain large amounts of water, subject to the initial
enrichment of the concentrator, and then the dryer to dry minerals.
Copper concentrate grade can be up to 45%.
1. disseminated copper ore flotation
Generally use a relatively simple process, after a period of
grinding fineness of -200 mesh acconting for 50% to 70%, then a
rougher flotation, 2 or 3 times cleaner flotation, 1 or 2 times
scavenging. If copper minerals disseminated particle size is
relatively small, we can consider the stage grinding and separation
processes. Bornite ore dressing plant mostly adopt the crude
concentrate regrinding - a cleaner flotation process, and its
essence is mixed - flotation process. First by a period of rough
grinding, rougher flotation, scavenging, and then crude concentrate
regrinding and then selected to get higher-grade copper concentrate
and sulphur concentrate. Coarse pulverized -200 mesh account for
45% to 50%, then fine pulverized -200 mesh about 90% to 95%.
2. dense compact copper ore flotation
Due to the dense symbiotic of chalcopyrite and pyrite, pyrite is
often activated by secondary copper. As pyrite has higher content,
it is difficult to inhibit , the separation is difficult. The
sorting process require to get both copper concentrate and sulphur
concentrate. Usually copper tailings is sulfur concentrate after
copper beneficiation. If the ore gangue content is more than 20% to
25%, it still needs re-sorting to get the sulfur concentrate.
Dealing with dense copper ore, often use two period of grinding or
stage grinding, grinding fineness require smaller. The amount of
reagent is larger, of which xanthate dosage is above 100g / t ore ,
lime more than 8 to 10kg / t ore.
